Ordev-C Midterm Paper

What 5 life changing realizations have you experienced in your college life? I had a lot of life changing experiences in my college

life.

In this reaction paper I would only discuss the five of the most important of those experiences.

First, the experienced I had during my first day, as a college student is pretty much the most unforgettable one. It was unforgettable to me because I was used to seeing my friends and classmates in high school since we were little and then suddenly I have to live among the new people I have met just know. Yes, it is scary at first because you don’t know if those people around you are good or not. Yes, I had fun also because I’ve widened the network of people that I know and thus making me a better person. I was the first time that I’ve gotten out of my school ad thus making me feel that I am not safe or something but it went well up to this day I am meeting and learning how diverse the people around me can be. With the friends and people I’ve know now I can say I am a much better and much wiser person than when I was in high school.

Second, the experienced I had during my Paghilom, Pagtuklas, and Pagtugon. I think those recollections and retreat made me reach out more to God and listen more to him. I graduated in Buddhist school and for 10 years in my life I has studied Buddhism. Yes, I am a catholic but I rarely go to church to attend the mass. In my stay in the college I found my passion towards to God. I’ve learned how important it is to communicate with him and worship him in the duration of our stay in this world. Yes, at first I often asked people why should I go to church and listen to what the priest say, when I can reflect anytime and anywhere I wanted too. Yes, I had my doubts about God and if he ever existed in our world, but after those events that I’ve attended especially the last one the Pagtugon retreat, it made me realize how important God in our lives. I also had a great chance to know more my batch mates in those activities/events.

Third, the experienced that I had during our retreat in 2007. The Association of Information Management hosted and organized that event and I was a member then so I’ve joined the retreat. I realize in that retreat I have a lot to learn about the outside world. I also learned how to mingle to those people that I’ve rarely talked to. Yes, I am a person who is so shy that I almost don’t talk in the classroom during the class discussions. In that retreat I’ve known more about my professors professionally and personally which great for us because now we can freely share more ideas about different subject that are related to the curriculum.

Fourth, the second best experienced so far in my college life was during my entire 1st year stay in the college. It will be forever in my mind that I’ve gotten three straight dean’s lister terms. I’ve received a trophy for my accomplishment in my first year and the happiness that I felt after receiving that trophy was incomparable to the other happy things that happened to me in the past. My family and me are proud for achieving that award. I am so happy for this achievement of mine because during my high school days I was never been an achiever towards my studies but look what I’ve accomplished in my college day.

Fifth, the most unforgettable to me in y college life is happening right now and that is falling in love with the girl that I love and the girl I can spend my whole life with. She is my batch mate at the same time we are in the same course. The experience that I am having now is forever willed be cherish by her and me. Yes, we might not end up together but at least we tried and we are happy with one another’s company. I think the best experience that a person can get out of college life in learn how to love and be loved by the person who you cared for. Learning how to love real is the best experience that a person can get out of this world.
